Our creative strategy: use American imagery and symbolism of the West to spark interest, stir imagination, and carve out a distinctive position within the red blend/zinfandel category. The key here was to ride the wave of Red Blend interest with a new zinfandel designed for a male-centric target audience, while remaining appealing to female consumers.
Step One
THE PROCESS
When our client learned that their initial name, American Buffalo, was not available, Affinity went to work, generating over 300 naming alternatives. Ultimately, one of our candidates, 1000 Stories, was favored by the client, and paired up with an appropriate design execution—an exquisitely engraved depiction of a buffalo in profile—one of the most stunning symbols of American freedom and endless possibilities.
